working it off
When I can save money, even if it means working it off . . .
Today I'll be manning the Shamrock Club's booth at the Wisconsin Highland Games at the County Expo Grounds. Look for me if you're there between noon and five. I've always known the Games were there, live just a mile from the Expo, but have never attended. I'm looking forward to seeing the caber toss, dancing, costumes, hearing bagpipes and Irish folk music. . . Volunteering will save me the $8.00 price of admission.
The Games should provide some good photo opportunities. Today is the day. The Journal Sentinel's latest photo contest is for photos taken today, Sept. 4th, only.
Helping out; If the creek don't rise, I'll be helping out at the Public Radio booth at next Saturday's Waukesha Art Fest and two weeks from today in the fresh apple marketplace tent at Retzer's annual Apple Harvest Fest. Working the apple tent will save me $5.00 in parking. Manning the WPR booth at Art Fest won't save me a thing, but I'll have a great time meeting all of you!
Plan on attending all these great events, and hope for more decent weather similar to today's.
