HOPE you can make it
The twelvth annual HOPE Thanksgiving Dinner and Auction is a week and a half away; the week before Thanksgiving on Thursday the 18th. The dinner will again be held at Country Springs Hotel and is sure to be a fun time.
The dinner is on the pricier side, though half the $60.00 price is tax deductible, but as a major fundraiser for all of Hope Center's many beneficial programs it's the best deal in town. I'm on the dinner committee because it's a cause I believe in. Hope Center, formerly Cooperating Congregations, offers many no cost options for the less fortunate in Waukesha County.
Hope Center at 502 N East Ave. helped 30,000 times last year and is continually the first source of referral from First Call for Help. They support a meal program, clothing shop, drop-in shelter, furniture help, social ministry, nurse, child care. . . If ever there's a time of need, it's now. If ever there's a place in times of need, it's Hope Center.
Please consider attending the dinner, making a donation of any sort, or volunteering. Helping others will put you in the right mood for Thanksgiving. Thanks
