Good times were rolling, along with the good weather, in Downtown Waukesha for the year's fourth installment of Freeman Friday Night Live. Spring City Grass was jammin' 'till nearly 9:00 with crowd favorites such as Orange Blossom Special. Guest vocalist Cheryl Knutson concluded the evening's wonderful performance with a lively tune.
I joined the local Lake Mills RE/MAX realtors for the annual Town and Country Days parade. I drove while Kurt warmed up the crowd from the basket. Hard to believe a town of little more than 4000 would have over 160 entrants in the parade... and still have people left to watch it go by.
Saturday was a balloon chaser's paradise. Euphoric is the best way to describe it. Two perfect flights, the last taking off from St. Mary's festival.
All the pancakes I could shove in, along with hot fruit toppings, sausage, watermelon, OJ... for just five dollars at Linden Grove on University Drive. I was trying to imagine nicer weather for this Sunday, and couldn't.
