One For The Funny And Two To Go
Finally saw my first Badgerland Water Ski show of the season last night after admitting I hadn't been to any. What a riot! The weather and crowds were great, skiing superb as always on the crystal clear waters of the Fox River.
Two things really amazed me. First, Steve, the new announcer, is great. He's got a routine you shouldn't miss. It's hilarious! He does a little doubles act on skis that you'd never expect and have to see to believe.
Second, world class ski jumper Scotty Susek went wild on the water. He intended to go over the jump three times in 45 seconds, but looked like he was having so much fun he did it seven times in about two and a half minutes; each time the boat making the tightest circles with engines out of water. What a spectacle.
There's only two shows left ot the season. The next two Wednesdays at Frame Park, Waukesha, 6:30 to 8:00. There's no fee. Donations gladly accepted.
