drinking plenty of water
With the day off I finally have a little blog time. With being so busy with work, averaging 10 hour days last week and 8 on Saturday... and with the heat I've been too worn out to write.
Waukesha did finally get a few brief drops of rain yesterday! Obviously not enough to make a difference in the long-running drought, but at least it's something.
Rode the Schwinn Downtown two Sunday's ago then just stayed out of the way while the professionals rode their bikes through Waukesha. There were other fun things throughout Waukesha the same day, but nothing like the power and speed of a bike race.
Briefly took in Friday Night Live last Friday after getting ears lowered at Mom-in-Law's. The warm but not scorching temps brought a goodly-sized crowd down. Happened to catch an unusual member of the citizenry dancing to the rythms of Vitrolum Republic at Steaming Cup and the beats of Rober Allan Jr. at Magellan's. At first I thought this beast had hatched from Black Dragon, but now I'm not so sure. It sure was a spectacle and wouldn't have been possible if streets weren't closed. It's a pretty good dancer too.
Last time I crewed for a hot air balloon was February, and did it twice this last weekend. Very dry conditions added another level of danger to the situation, but all went well.
Lots happening today to celebrate independence. Fortunately Waukesha's fireworks haven't been cancelled... yet.
Happy Fourth!
