Where There's Smoke On The Mountain - There's A Good Time!
I've been through the hills of Kentucky and Tennessee a number of times. The scenery, the winding roads and rivers, the hills and hollers; there truly is nothing else like it. I've also had an occasional opportunity to stop and stay awhile; that Southern Hospitality thing? It's real!
This past April, I spent three glorious weeks on a short-term mission trip. Working with The Christian Appalachian Project, an interdenominational ministry; traversing the hills of Eastern Kentucky, working on various projects with other volunteers and meeting participants has given me more than a few sweet memories. While the whole experience was rewarding, there are a couple things that stand out.
