Five new neighbors moved next door about a month ago. Apparently I've been busy because I only recently heard about, and tasted, them. Wow, I did not know you could raise chickens in the City of Waukesha!
It's very, very odd to gather, fry and eat a freshly-laid egg. Can't say it tasted any fresher, or different, than a cold, weeks-old egg out of the carton (more research will have to be done on that,) but have to say I've never given as much thought to an egg. I actually watched my breakfast being laid!
