Purchased a quart of Lifeway kefir from my local Pick 'N Save yesterday. Thought I should try something that's soon to be a locally produced product, as Lifeway just purchased the Golden Guernsey plant last week. I found many with natural fruit flavoring, but went with vanilla instead. I know they sell frozen kefir, but I didn't find any in the store yesterday. A quart cost me less than three-fifty, and I've noticed printable coupons are also available on their website.
Another beautiful day for Historic Preservation Weekend in Waukesha. I'm looking forward to today's open houses from noon to four. I'm happy to see different homes and buildings open this year, though Chandler House is a carryover. Too bad the Andrew Frame house on Grand Ave. isn't open this year. It's the best.
One of Waukesha's largest, unleashed, German Shepherd or German Shepherd mixes, took a bite out of our Bailey while we walked on Norton Ave. yesterday afternoon.
This guy must have one of the best jobs in the country! He's not your average free sample guy. Ice cream cones! Who doesn't like ice cream?
Just realized we're in the middle of the 60th Annual Salvation Army Week as proclaimed by President Eisenhower in 1954. I'd like to thank you for your donation last Saturday to the National Letter Carrier "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive which greatly helps Salvation Army's and Waukesha's food pantries, among others.
