Does Anybody Know What They Are Doing?
Today I'm told that some of the bailed out banks actually have been turning a profit. One has loaned some of that money to Dubai and one has loaned some to a Chinese company. Billions of dollars, that is. I thought that we, the USA, were in debt to those countries.
Congressman Dennis Kucinich, chairman of the oversight committee says that he voted against the TARP bill, had no idea that these loans were being made and is now investigating them. Yeah Dennis, close the door after the horses fled the barn.
Does anybody in congress know what they are doing? Why did President Pelosi not attach strings to TARP as she and Vice-President Obama did with the stimulus bill? Make no mistake about it. She has been running the country for the last two years and she is the one in control of things now. Her fingers are at the keys of the teleprompter. Ever hear Obama without one? He makes Bush sound eloquent!
As I drive I-94 to work each morning, I'll see the occasional car with an Obama sticker still attached to the bumper. I so wish I could speak to them and ask two things. Do you keep up with the current news and do you wish you would have voted differently?
