Waukesha County Fair -ly interesting
Even though there will be no hot air balloons at the County Fair, second time in two years, there'll still be plenty to see and do. The best deal and lightest crowds is usually opening day, Wednesday, where parking, admission and rides are all one dollar each.
Another favorite day is Sunday. Five dollar admission until 1:00, truck and tractor pulls at noon and REO Speedwagon at 6:00. In 2005, REO Speedwagon also played the fair on Sunday. I rode my bike over and saved on parking. Stayed for the tractor pulls and came back later for the concert. Was disappointed four years ago to not hear Golden Country, one of their best tunes. Hope to hear it this year, but somehow doubt they'll play it.
