still praying

let us pray, Workforce

As today is the National Day of Prayer, and exactly two weeks since I lost my job, thought I'd offer up a few.

For the families of those killed by senseless acts of violence, tornados, earthquakes, floods, mine disasters. . .

For all those who give of themselves as volunteers for the good of the community. . .

For all the kind people demonstrating random acts of kindness right now. . .

For the young men and women in our military, in hospitals, fire and police stations, anyone who protects us in any way. . .

For my new friends met in the last two weeks at WCTC or Workforce Development: Jean B. and Jean G., Jerry H., Dena C., Frank F, Bob, Nancy and Jenni. Their help and kindness is appreciated more than I could say.

For the guys at North American Computer on Broadway who I'm now on first name basis with. . .  hoping the used computer I've only had a month is repairable so I can get back to working on resumes and looking for work.

For my mom and all moms. . .

For the unemployed, homeless, sick, lonely. . .

For teachers, clergy, judges, politicians. . .

This prayer is for you.
