It's August.  Already!  Where did summer go?  That's a question we ask a lot, isn't it?  Every year, in fact.

June eases us into summer.  Vacations are planned, school is dismissed and there we are; enjoying the sweet smells, sounds, sights and tastes of summer when all of a sudden, like slamming on the brakes - there's August.  Maybe we haven't noticed it because it's the month that creeps up on us while July passes in a scramble of activity.  Whatever the reason for the question, August is a mixed bag.  It's like emotional sweet/sour sauce.  It's the month we still feel summer's caressing warmth, while denying the brush of autumn's hand.
