color is my motivation
As if I needed another reason to get outside after working indoors all day.
goin' green
Plenty o' green on St. Pat's. The unbelievably perfect weather was obviously something to bain sult as an saol. I have a strong connection to the day that has nothing to do with green beer - just call me Patrick, it's my middle name - and I immediately recognized upon waking what a truly beautiful day it was.
Takin' slower walks
flight fright
The Southwest Airlines air emergency had to be scary. Loss of cabin pressure when a hole opens up in the roof at 36,000 feet. I can imagine more than one of the 118 passengers thought they wouldn't live to see tomorrow.
going stir crazy
Was invited to try a new restaurant last night for a friend's birthday. Stir Crazy is an Asian restaurant bordering Brookfield Square on the north at Bluemound. Had a bit of a wait due to the time of day and them not taking reservations, though twas a good time to meet the folks and friends. For my selection I chose the Market Bar. Market Bar is like a salad bar for the wok. You first order a protein and select rice or noodles at the table and receive two bowls. You fill one of the bowls with vegetables, legumes and fruit and the other with sauce. Hand the bowls to a wok chef and they cook it up with the protein right in front of you while you wait. I had shrimp, garlic ginger sauce and brown rice and my wok was delicious and filling without being too hot or spicy. I didn't do anything for St. Pat's day, so I washed it all down with a couple bottles of Guinness.
Bailey's 6
Six pounds. Bailey saw the vet today for shots and a check up. We tried a different vet and it turns out if was the same one she visited before we got her. We tried Gentle Care Veterinary Hospital on Hwy. 59 on the recommendation of a relative. As I was describing how we came about the pup the vet basically finished my sentence.
It's a Wonderful Life
I wanted to name him Henry, the antagonist in It's a Wonderful Life. We changed our mind when a female became available. We named her Bailey, the protagonist in the same story. Either way, it's a wonderful life now that we have a new puppy member of the family.
