Police Report: July 25
Information taken from reports filed by the Waukesha Police Department
1 A caller at 405 N. East Ave. called police at 7:14 p.m. to report their purse had been stolen from the top of their vehicle.
2 Someone called police at 3:05 p.m. July 13 to report a gas station was closed but the pumps were allowing people to get gas for free at 1205 White Rock Ave. After investigating police determined the person was mistaken and people were actually paying for gas.
3 An accident with injury was reported at 9:40 a.m. July 13 involving a vehicle vs. person at a car wash at 2200 Silvernail Road.
4 A caller reported a man with a gun at 9:32 a.m. July 13 at 2450 N. Grandview Blvd. The caller said a man pulled a gun while in an argument with another party. The victim came to the police department to report the incident.
5 A construction worker called police at 9:11 p.m. July 12 after they said they were hit by another car while setting up barrels at Nike Drive and Main Street.
6 A vehicle at 1320 Poplar Drive was reported broken into at 5:57 p.m. July 12. Reported stolen were a passport, title, Xbox, flat screen TV and welding mask.
7 A wallet was taken out of an unlocked vehicle in a garage at 1034 Oxford Road. The resident called police at 6:24 a.m. July 16 to report entry was gained through his garage to his vehicle. He found his wallet down the street missing cash.
8 An ignition key and $10 was reported stolen at 6:09 a.m. July 18 out of an unlocked vehicle at 520 E. Broadway. The caller said the theft occurred sometime between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
9 A woman at 928 Wesley Drive called police at 3:39 a.m. July 18 to report possible theft in progress. She told police she caught a male on a bicycle trying to get in her car. The woman said there have been thefts from cars in the area lately and that she suspects a teenager that lives in the area.
10 Police responded to a chemical spill at 301 Travis Lane at 12:40 a.m. July 18.
11 A landlord at 1041 Oakland Ave. called police at 6:55 p.m. July 17 reporting harassment from a tenant. The man said his tenant has been threatening him saying he was going to sue him over lack of hot water and other issues.
12 A resident at 1120 Madison St. called police at 4:18 p.m. July 17 to report their neighbor harassing them by calling them a "dirt bag" and a "douche bag." The neighbor said they never called the man names and that he actually blocked their vehicle in the driveway as they were trying to back out. The police log notes that one or both parties could be lying and did not file a report.
13 A caller at 405 Wilmont Drive reported fraud at 12:34 p.m. July 17. They said someone hacked into their account depositing $75,000 into another account.
14 Two men were advised after startling people in the 400 block of West Main Street as they were walking around with their faces painted like clowns and wearing Insane Clown Posse clothing. The two voluntarily offered to go home and wash the paint off.
15 A caller at 1001 Delafield St. called police to report a neighbor hit the hood of their car with his cane causing a small scratch. Police reported both parties were fighting over the caller owing the other resident $3.
16 A caller at 2101 Wood bury Circle called police at 8:06 a.m. July 18 to report their vehicle had been entered overnight and $10 worth of change was missing.
17 A resident at 2204 Oakdale Drive reported at 6:59 a.m. July 18 that their unlocked vehicle was entered either the night before or that morning. A GPS and golf bag with clubs were taken.
18 A group of teens were advised after complaints of them throwing water balloons at passing cars at 1230 S. Grandview Blvd. at 4:31 p.m. July 20.
19 A woman called police at 2:21 p.m. July 20 to report a man in the area of Summit Avenue and North University Drive approached her and was masturbating.
20 A caller at 338 Jackson Court called police at 9:24 p.m. to report four men came up and "just stole his bike."
21 A caller reported suspicious activity at George Webb Restaurant, 139 E. Sunset Drive, at 11:33 p.m. July 21. The caller said a male was sitting at the bar on the phone quietly describing what other patrons looked like. They said they heard the man say, "I have a .9" and thought they may be talking about a gun. Police made contact with the man who explained he eats at the restaurant everyday and that his girlfriend works there. The man said he was on the phone with his girlfriend and she was asking him who was in the restaurant. The man said he has no plans of hurting anyone.
22 Theft was reported at 7:04 p.m. July 22 at 538 Bluemound Road. The caller said that morning a man siphoned gas out of vehicles in the parking lot. The caller said they have video of the man and recognize him as a resident there. After investigating police said the video showed the man trying to jump his vehicle with another vehicle and that the caller volunteered his vehicle for use for the man to get gas. Police could not determine any crime occurred.
23 An employee at 321 Wisconsin Ave. called police at 4:38 p.m. July 22 to report a man was stealing DVDs.
