Police Report: Sept. 5
Information taken from reports filed by the Waukesha Police Department
1 An employee at Kwik Trip, 924 Fleetfoot Drive, reported a gas runoff at 12:12 p.m. Aug. 28. The employee said there have been multiple gas thefts by different vehicles with the same license plate. Police looked up the plate and reported it expired and registered to a "junked car."
2 A resident at 704 S. Grand Ave. reported suspicious activity at 6:44 a.m. Aug. 29. The man said he woke up and noticed his back gates were open and his flood lights were unscrewed.
3 Burglary was reported at 1:50 p.m. Sept. 2 at 227 W. College Ave. #2. The caller said their apartment was broken into and a DVD, TV and school books were taken.
4 A caller reported theft from 2416 Broken Hill Road. The caller said the tenants that moved out stole light fixtures, door knobs and vandalized the property. They said the home is in foreclosure.
5 A resident at 2100 Woodbury Circle called police at 10:16 a.m. Sept. 2 to report someone entered their garage and took their golf clubs.
6 A neighbor reported a possible break-in at 1752 Blackhawk Trail at 10:15 a.m. Sept. 2. They said the homeowners were out of town and noticed a window screen on the roof and two people in the home after they heard a noise overnight. The owner later called police to report his 357 Magnum was taken.
7 A noise complaint was called in for 2138 Kilps Drive at 2:35 a.m. Sept. 2. The caller reported loud country music with "hoots, hollers and ye haws!" Police reported the house was dark and quiet when they arrived.
8 A caller at 1731 Blackhawk Trail reported burglary at 11:54 p.m. Sept. 1. They reported a broken window, other windows and doors open and that someone had gone through their home.
9 A motorcyclist called police at 10:35 p.m. Aug. 31 after being chased by a pit bull in the area of North Moreland Boulevard and Michigan Avenue. The caller said the dog ran from a house in the neighborhood chasing them and trying to bite their foot. They reported a dent and blood on their fender. Police were unable to locate the dog.
10 A rollover accident was reported at 8:10 a.m. Aug. 31 at 941 Perkins Ave. after a car collided with a tree. The driver was able to crawl out through a window and said she hit her head but was OK.
11 Multiple citations were issued after police were dispatched to a fight at 9:45 p.m. Aug. 30 at 338 Jackson Court. The caller reported several men beating up a female. When police arrived it was reported that two men threw a bottle at a woman. They reported eventually citing three people for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia and six cases of bail jumping all with violating a no controlled substances order.
12 A caller at 620 Tenny Ave. reported theft of china and a gold ring. They suspect it's someone they hire for their yardwork.
13 Trees were reportedly toilet papered and plastic eggs with confetti were thrown at a house at 854 S. Comanche Lane sometime between Aug. 29 and 30. The caller said there was also a note on the door that read, "mind your own business." The caller thinks whoever did this had the wrong house.
14 A gas runoff was reported at 7:39 a.m. Aug. 30 at 924 Fleetfoot Drive.
15 A gas runoff was reported at 7:38 a.m. Aug. 30 at 1809 W. St. Paul Ave.
16 A garage fire was reported at 6:15 a.m. Aug. 30 at 313 Joellen Drive. The caller reported seeing flames on the back of the detached garage. The fire was contained by 6:26 a.m. and is under investigation.
