Police Report: Jan. 30
Information taken from reports filed by the Waukesha Police Department
1 Police were called to the scene at 11:20 a.m. Jan. 19 after an elderly driver's Honda Civic went off the roadway at the corner of Northview and Meadowbrook roads and into a farm field. The vehicle was 50 feet off the road.
2 A caller at 11:21 a.m. Jan. 19 reported that their apartment manager at 1165 White Rock Ave. has been harassing/insulting them. The two had a verbal altercation when the caller went to see the manager to get a copy of the lease.
3 After a caller in an apartment at 251 Hinman Ave. at 12:14 p.m. Jan. 19 asked the person in the apartment directly below them to turn down their music and refused, police were called. The person, after police arrived, turned down the music to a reasonable level but after police left, the resident in the apartment began calling her names through the floor. Police advised of further substantiated noise complaints will result in citations.
4 Police were called at 8:43 p.m. Jan. 19 after a woman was punched by her female next-door neighbor to 224 N. Racine Ave.
5 Police were called to 231 Carroll St. at 12:55 a.m. Jan. 20 due to complaints of a group of people who were "loud and drunk," and lighting off fireworks, according to the police log. Police said the noise was excessive and moving inside.
6 A woman reported at 8:45 a.m. Jan. 20 that items were stolen from her vehicle overnight at 2422 Willowood Drive. She told police that her unlocked vehicle was parked in her driveway overnight and in the morning noticed that a couple CDSs were taken and an older Garmin GPS.
7 A caller reported to police at 9:32 a.m. Jan. 20 at 1500 Cottonwood Drive that a collection company is continuously calling from New York regarding a cash advance that the caller says he never did. The company is also calling his workplace. Police called the number and spoke to a person who stated he represents Morgan and Associates. Caller said he filed bankruptcy a year ago and is not sure if this could be related to that. It is unclear if this is a scam.
8 Police responded to a reckless vehicle at 12:20 p.m. Jan. 20 on the corner of Silvernail Road and North Grandview Boulevard regarding a mother who was driving and feeding a 1-year-old on her lap.
9 A caller reported at 12:44 p.m. Jan. 20 at 102 Harrison Ave. that she is getting obscene texts from a male that she initially had contact with through Craigslist regarding a vehicle. The caller was worried because the man has the caller's email and phone number.
10 Police were called at 6:51 p.m. Jan. 20 after homeowners returned home at 227 N. Charles St. from a two-week vacation and found items in their house missing.
11 A woman called police at 7:41 p.m. Jan. 20 while she was at Waukesha Memorial Hospital, 725 American Ave., to report that her ex-boyfriend punched her in the face a few days earlier. She said the punch caused her to have a bloody nose. However, the woman had no injury of any kind and a domestic relationship was unable to be substantiated, according to the police log. Police spoke with the ex-boyfriend and said he is in Milwaukee and hasn't see the woman in months. According to police, the woman has an extensive history of giving false police reports and there isn't any evidence to support the claims.
12 A woman called police at an apartment at 9:41 p.m. Jan. 20 at 1820 S. Grand Ave. to report that her boyfriend was "bugging" her. According to the police log, the woman and her boyfriend had a verbal argument about what they were watching on TV. The woman did not have the police's non-emergency number so she called 911. When police came to the apartment, the boyfriend was gone and agreed to stay somewhere else for the rest of the evening.
13 A caller reported a noise complaint at 3:10 p.m. Jan. 21 in an apartment at 234 Carroll St. The caller said pots and pans were banging and there was yelling. Police responded to find out that a woman and her grandmother were cooking earlier and some of the pans got knocked around. The police log states that the grandmother is hard of hearing and until she gets her new hearing aids they have to talk very loudly to her so she can understand.
14 Police were called at 7:07 p.m. Jan. 21 to the Hebron House of Hospitality's men's overflow shelter, 1721 Northview Road, to have a man removed from the shelter. According to the police log, the man was "physical and is very verbal."
15 Police responded to a man in a large white SUV at 3:23 a.m. Jan. 22 at 2450 N. Grandview Blvd. who appeared to be passed out in the parking lot. Upon contact, the man had been sleeping after drinking at the Cue Club. The man, who flew in from Texas for business, told police he decided to not drive back to his hotel in Pewaukee after drinking and was going to sleep in his vehicle for the night. The man took a cab to his hotel.
16 Three iPads were stolen from the girls locker room at 1:30 p.m. Jan. 22 at Waukesha North High School, 2222 Michigan Ave.
17 Police were called to a residence at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 22 at 1438 Big Bend Road after it received a call from a man who had an argument with his step son. The police log states it was physical between both and that they are now separated, but the step son still wants to fight the caller.
18 Police responded to a 19-year-old man who was stumbling down the middle of the street at 9:32 p.m. Jan. 22 and through the alley next to the Main Street Plaza Apartments, West Main Street and West Broadway.
19 A person called police at 3:11 a.m. Jan. 23 that a man was outside his apartment door at 134 W. North St. with an ax and "wants to chop down (the) door." The caller also said he has a knife. The caller received a call from another neighbor who gave him this information about the ax and knife. The caller said he can hear the man, who lives in a nearby apartment, outside the door. But the caller later said the man must have went back to his apartment and the hallway was clear.
