No matter how you cut it, Kelly Johnson, 15, of Waukesha makes a darned good sandwich.
The Waukesha South High School student has been named a finalist in the 13-15-year-old category of Arnold's Best in Sandwich Challenge, a national kids' contest looking for the most wholesome sandwich recipe.
Johnson's Mini Club Combos are up against two other sandwiches to give her the chance to win a $5,000 donation to her school and a $1,500 U.S. Savings Bond to go towards her future education.
Her sandwich is featured online and the public will vote to determine the winner. Voting takes place through June 22 at www.ArnoldSandwichChallenge.com.
Johnson's sandwich includes toasted slices of whole wheat and honey wheat bread, turkey, ham, cheese, tomato lettuce and mayonnaise.
