Five ways to defeat summer boredom

School's out and that means "mom, I'm bored" can't be far behind. Beat boredom to the punch with some of the many great classes and activities available for kids in Waukesha.

Following is just a sampling.

1. Make a Robot

Kids can be the master of their own creature as they design, build and program LEGO Mindstorm robots. The course is for 11-14-year-old beginners as well as students familiar with Mindstorms.

2. Decorate a Cookie for Dad

Dad will love this great big sugar cookie - especially when he finds out it was decorated by his own child.

3. Catch a Cool Bug
