Music fills the fair's air

Fairgoers feast on great sounds, from rock to pop

While the fair offers many unique food choices, a chance to see farm animals up close, thrilling carnival rides and more, what gives the fair its exciting pulse is the music.

The 168th Waukesha County Fair boasts a great entertainment lineup scheduled to appear at the Main Stage, Leinie Lodge and Coors Light stages. The fair runs through Sunday, July 25 on the Waukesha Expo grounds. Access to entertainment is included with fair admission.

This year, fairgoers will enjoy return appearances by many local favorites, including The Toys, Southbound, Choogy and Sweet Tarts plus nationally-known entertainers on the Main Stage.

Fair details

The fair is open 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, July 22; 10 a.m. to midnight, Friday and Saturday July 23-24; 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 25.

The Waukesha County Fair Association is a nonprofit volunteer organization that is completely separate and receives no funding from Waukesha County or the City of Waukesha.

Advance adult admission and Main Stage VIP seating tickets are available online at WaukeshaCountyFair.com. Tickets at the gate: adults $9, children 6-12 $3, and children 5 and under, free; parking $5.

VIP tickets are available for the Miller Lite Main Stage shows for an additional cost. A limited number of tickets are available for each concert until noon the day of the show or while supplies last and include a seat in a fenced off section directly in front of the stage. In addition to the VIP seating ticket, a general admission ticket must be purchased to enter the fairgrounds.
