Kramer re-elected to assembly seat

Nov. 14, 2012

Rep. Bill Kramer, rather easily, maintained his seat in the state assembly.

Kramer (R-Waukesha), who has served in the state assembly since 2006, defeated political newcomer Marga Krumins (D-Waukesha), 18,013 to 9,888 votes inTuesday's General Election for the District 97 Assembly seat.

District 97 covers most of the City of Waukesha and Wards 1, 2-6 and 8 in the Town of Waukesha.

Earlier this year, Krumins was also seeking the District 6 Aldermanic seat in the City of Waukesha that went to Adam Jankowski.

In addition to serving in the state assembly, Kramer, who grew up in Waukesha, was a member of the Waukesha County Board from 1998-99 and 2004-07.

Krumins, who grew up in northern Wisconsin, has worked as a software engineer and web developer in recent years and is an Army veteran.
