Waukesha - A suspected heroin dealer arrested this summer by Waukesha police has also allegedly threatened Milwaukee police officers, according to a criminal complaint filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court.
Michael J. McCollum, 24, was charged Dec. 19 with two felony counts of conspiracy to commit manufacture/delivery of heroin.
According to the complaint, Waukesha undercover officers purchased $500 worth of heroin from a woman on June 13. The woman, who is not named in the complaint, was accompanied by McCollum, the complaint said.
The woman told the undercover officer she could obtain heroin and "that her supplier pretty much always has heroin to sell," the complaint said.
On June 29, another deal was set up and the undercover officer was to purchase $1,000 worth of heroin from the woman. When the woman met with the officer she said she could only get $800 worth of the drug and the officer gave her the money and she in turn handed over the heroin, the complaint said. The woman told the officer her supplier, allegedly McCollum, did not trust her with $800 worth of heroin at the time but she could get more later that day, the complaint said.
Officers then arrested the woman and McCollum, who had accompanied her, the complaint said.
The woman said she started selling heroin one month earlier to get money, the complaint said.
Waukesha police learned from Milwaukee police that McCollum allegedly has made threats to specific Milwaukee police officers and the officers were targets "for some type of harm while off duty," the complaint said.
McCollum has been released from Waukesha County Jail on a $10,000 signature bond and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 16 for an arraignment hearing.
