Police Report: April 17
Information taken from reports filed by the Waukesha Police Department
1 A man was removed from the Waukesha Public Library, 321 Wisconsin Ave., for being loud in the newspaper section at 3:12 p.m. April 3. After leaving, the man said he will be back and said twice "I will not have my rights violated."
2 A woman using profanity and racial slurs, caused problems inside the Waukesha Public Library, 321 Wisconsin Ave., at 8:52 p.m. April 3.
3 A woman called police twice within four hours, once at 1:05 a.m. and again at 5:05 a.m. April 4 in the 200 block of Arcadian Ave. because she feels her neighbors are "out to get her" and "harm her." She wanted to talk with her case worker, and Waukesha County's Mental Health Services was notified. The woman was then concerned the officers responding may be impostors. After the woman again called police later in the day saying she thinks her boyfriend wants to set her on fire, she said she would feel safer at the mental health facility. She was then issued a citation for misuse of 9-1-1.
4 A caller's tires were slashed prior to 10:19 a.m. April 4 at 710 E. College Ave., possibly by a woman who had been threatening the caller. The caller said the woman wanted $200 from a drug purchase.
5 A woman reported at 2:42 p.m. April 4 that a couple days ago a wooden duck was on her porch at 2428 Emslie Drive and didn't know where it came from. And she said there is now a large yellow bag with human hair inside it. The caller is a hair dresser and was unsure if this is someone playing a prank or not. She was told to call police if more items show up on her doorstep.
6 A woman said a man with a Middle Eastern accent has called her 23 times from several phone numbers prior to 3:31 p.m. April 4 at 1075 White Rock Ave. The woman said the man wanted money and said he will kill her if she doesn't comply. The woman was told to block any of the numbers he had used.
7 A drunk man walked into the back door of the caller's house at 11:20 p.m. April 4 at 422 Lake St. The caller did not know the man, who had blood on his hands. The man did not do any damage as he just walked in and ran out.
8 A female worker at Subway, 215 W. Main St., reported at 9:06 a.m. April 5 that she received several threatening calls the night before from a man who argued with her about when she was closing the restaurant. The man then made reference to coming to the restaurant and shooting her in the head.
9 Two middle-school aged males on bikes were yelling racial slurs at a couple high-schoolers at 1:31 p.m. April 5 at 1013 Maitland Drive.
10 A man was going door to door asking residents about their plumbing prior to 6:59 p.m. April 5 at an apartment complex at 801 N. East Ave. The man identified himself as Jeremy and checked water pressure in the kitchen and bathrooms. The building manager said no person by that name works for the landlord.
11 Thirty "gunshots" were reported prior to 10:37 p.m. April 5 at 207 N. Moreland Blvd. Police realized the noise wasn't gunshots but they appeared to be fireworks.
12 A loud party with excessive noise was coming from the upstairs apartment prior to 11:47 p.m. April 5 at 430 W. Newhall Ave.
13 A man was threatening to throw hot coffee on employees prior to 1:54 p.m. April 6 at McDonald's, 1635 E. Main St. The man was given the wrong coffee and when he asked to exchange it and the employee told him to pay for another, the man said swore and the employee in turn started yelling and swearing at the man.
14 A lawn mower was stolen from the caller's front yard prior to 3:51 p.m. April 6 at 445 W. College Ave.
15 A resident at 327 W. Newhall Ave. said unidentified people had entered his property from the back door and slept in the basement prior to 9:42 p.m. April 6. The back door latch is broken. The man found needles and is missing tools from the basement.
16 Six teenagers were reportedly smoking marijuana across the street from 1324 Garfield Ave. prior to 10:22 p.m. April 6.
17 A man urinated in the street at 337 W. Main St. and was disorderly toward a bartender prior to 11:39 p.m. April 6.
18 A woman's ex-fiance entered her residence and took paintings and other belongings prior to 10:04 a.m. April 7 at 2928 Minot Lane.
19 A woman had open intoxicants outside the Waukesha Public Library, 321 Wisconsin Ave., prior to 11:38 a.m. April 7. Library staff wanted her removed.
20 Hadfield Elementary School's principal called police at 4:39 p.m. April 7 to report that a sex offender was seen on school property, 733 Linden St. Police said nothing prevents sex offenders from entering the school safety zone, but sex offenders can't live within a safety zone. The principal was told she could send the sex offender a letter requesting she not return to the school.
21 A caller reported that a man asked his daughter prior to 10:03 p.m. April 7 in the east parking lot at 132 Cambridge Ave. if she wanted to "hit the blunt." After she said no and walked away the man made a sexual comment to her.
22 A man at 124 W. North St. reported at 7:23 a.m. April 8 that he had received a text message the previous day saying he was going to die in two days. A call placed to the number by police resulted in a hostile man asking "who the (expletive) is this?" and then hung up.
23 Waukesha Skateland, 1931 E. Main St., was burglarized prior to 8:36 a.m. April 8. The suspect busted the front glass and door, broke into the change machine and went through the office.
24 A mother at 103 S. Grandview Blvd. called police to report that as her 12-year-old son was walking home from school he was chased and pushed to the ground and had his bike damaged prior to 6:38 p.m. April 8. Police said the children were mutually aggressive and the parents of both children were advised on their children's behavior.
25 The rear windshield of a man's station wagon was shattered prior to 7:09 p.m. April 8 at 1314 S. West Ave.
26 The passenger in a vehicle tossed a bottle of alcohol out the window at 8:27 p.m. April 8 near the Waukesha County Courthouse, 515 W. Moreland Blvd.
