Police Report: Dec. 12
Information taken from reports filed by the Waukesha Police Department
1 Theft of silver from 156 S. East Ave. #1 was reported at 1:23 p.m. Dec. 3.
2 A vehicle hit a building and broke a window at 1801 Gateway Drive at 11:08 a.m. Dec. 3.
3 A landlord at 918 E. Moreland Blvd. called police at 8:51 a.m. Dec. 3 to report his tenants, who were evicted, were not moving out fast enough so he put their items outside. The caller said the tenants, who live in the basement, then poured gasoline on flamable items, turned the furnace to the highest temperature and opened the house so the furnace would run on high continuously. The man claimed the tenants also threatened to blow up the house.
4 A resident in an apartment complex at 1102 Delafield St. called police at 7:34 p.m. Dec. 4 to report the smell of marijuana in the hallways and they think it's coming from an apartment upstairs. When police arrived, they made contact with a resident who admitted that she was "smoking a blunt earlier with friends." She was issued a warning.
5 Police responded to a call of a reckless driver at Highway 59 and Racine Avenue at 5:18 p.m. Dec. 4. The caller said the female driver who pulled into a gas station was deviating from their lane. They also said the driver keeps using a flashlight and has a napkin around the flashlight and is "choking herself with it." When police located the driver, they said they were distracted after having a tooth pulled. The napkin was actually gauze and she was trying to tend to the missing tooth.
6 Police were called to 309 E. North St. at 2:53 p.m. Dec. 4 on a report of a mental subject. The caller said they wanted police to evaluate a man there that continues to say he is the "king."
7 Police were dispatched to 279 W. Main St. after an employee called saying that a man came into the store around 1:22 p.m. Dec. 5 with a bloody face. They said the man left and walked toward downtown. The caller said before he left, the man said, "You should not let me come to the store, I could harm you too." Police were unable to locate the man.
8 A lock was cut on a storage locker at 2111 S. West Ave. and items were reported taken at 9:28 a.m. Dec. 5. The caller said there also is a skid loader parked on a trailer here and the cabin closure was taken. They also reported a storage trailer was broken into and yard equipment and tools are missing.
9 A resident at 800 Delafield St. called police at 8:39 a.m. Dec. 5 saying they were being harassed by a man they met on Craigslist. The caller first claimed the person harassing them was there and that they said they were going to shot them an their roommate. They later said the man was never there, "but that he is coming." They said they met a "lady" on Craigslist that they planned to meet. But the caller said he later found out the lady was actually a man and that he no loner wanted to meet. They claimed the man demanded money for sex and stated that if he didn't get money he would shoot the caller and their roommate. Police advised the caller on the "dangers of Craigslist."
10 A man was arrested at the library, 321 Wisconsin Ave., at 1:04 p.m. Dec. 8. Employees called police to report a man who has been stealing DVDs was in the library. When police arrived they arrested him according to the dispatch report.
11 Copper piping, light fixtures and various tools were reported stolen at 6:46 p.m. Dec. 9 from 321 Newhall Ave. The caller is the property manager and said the items were taken out of a locked storage unit in a basement.
12 Two tires were punctured and a sideview mirror was reported broken at 6:50 a.m. Dec. 9 on a car at 2043 Dixie Drive. The caller said that tracks in the snow that lead to a neighbor's may be who did this. However, police found many tracks including tracks to another car that was tampered with belonging to someone who also lives at the apartment complex here.
13 The bathrooms in Frame Park, 1240 White Rock Ave., were reported burglarized at 2:09 p.m. Dec. 6. The caller said the lock and door were broken. Things were rummaged through and extension cords were taken.
14 A diesel filter was reported stolen off a car at 2220 Silvernail Road at 7:46 a.m. Dec. 6.
