Police Report: Aug. 22

1 Unlocked vehicles at 1311 Falls Court were rummaged through overnight on Aug. 12. The owners of the vehicles said cigarettes and about $20 was taken. They did not want a police report, but extra patrols after their neighbor reported seeing suspicious activity in the area.

2 A caller Aug. 13 told police a man was napping in a field in the 1600 block of East Main Street between Woodman's and a car dealership around 12:26 p.m. When police located the man he said he was, "Just taking a snooze while his daughter's car is getting repaired."

3 A caller at 1151 W. Sunset Drive called police at 12:17 p.m. Aug. 13 to report someone keeps flattening his tires. He told police he thinks it may be former friends.

4 A large amount of landscaping stone was reported stolen from 3011 Saylesville Road at 7:28 a.m. Aug. 13.

5 A portable DVD player and a briefcase were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle at 913 Western Ave. at 7:11 a.m. Aug. 13.

6 An unlocked vehicle at 1028 Racine Ave. was rummaged through and checks were taken Aug. 14.

7 A woman at 327 Arlington St. called police at 5:41 a.m. Aug. 16 after seeing a flash outside her window. The woman said she went outside and observed her neighbor taking pictures. The woman said the neighbor accused her of doing drugs and causing problems and she wanted to meet with police about it. Police advised each resident on neighbor relations and reported finding nothing to support the neighbor's drug claims.

8 Police were called around 10:32 p.m. Aug. 15 with reports of subjects buying a large amount of eggs at Woodmans. The caller said they later saw the subjects throwing eggs near Wolf and Butler. Police found several vehicles egged, but with no permanent damage. Police canvassed the area, but were unable to locate "suspected eggers."

9 A resident at 2012 Macarthur Road called police at 8:09 p.m. Aug. 15 to report someone spray painted his truck from headlight to taillight.

10 A woman at 231 Mountain Ave. called police at 4:14 p.m. Aug. 15 and said she wants her son "up out her house" because he "smokes up all his crack, steals money and takes her quest card." Her son was gone when police arrived. They advised the woman to change her locks if the son has a key or to call if anything further develops.

11 A woman called police at 5:43 a.m. Aug. 19 after seeing two men trying to break into her car at 246 S. Greenfield Ave. The woman said her car alarm went off after the door was opened and she saw the two men run off and get in a vehicle driving toward Racine.

12 A caller at 916 Oakland Ave. reported Aug. 18 that copper pipe was stolen from their work truck sometime over the weekend.

13 Building supplies were reported taken from a driveway at 1108 Gertrude St. at 1:14 p.m. Aug. 18.

14 Police were called at 12:04 p.m. Aug. 18 on a report of a "suspicious boom box" sitting at the main entrance at 212 E. St. Paul Ave. The caller said no one is around the boom box and it has red wires coming out of the back.

15 License plates were reported stolen at 10:45 p.m. Aug. 16 from 2010 Silvernail Road.

16 Residents at 2016 Woodburn Road called police at 8:40 p.m. Aug. 16 reporting their vehicle was entered within the last 10 minutes. The caller said their alarm was going off when they returned from walking the dog. They reported seeing an older gold Buick leave they did not recognize. Prescription pills were reported missing.

17 A resident at 1200 Magnolia Drive reported harassment at 4:04 p.m. Aug. 16 after receiving a call from a woman claiming to be with Waukesha Police. The caller said the woman said he was being investigated for fraud and that someone would be at his residence within the hour to arrest him. When the man asked the woman what the PD's number was, she answered correctly, but did not get the department's address correct. The man told the woman he would come to the station and meet with her and her supervisor, but the woman said she was not there. The man told police he didn't offer any personal information.

18 A resident at 209 Joellen Drive called police at 2:22 p.m. Aug. 16 to report a burglary in progress. The woman said a man was trying to remove a back window of her house to get in. The woman said she went outside to investigate a noise and saw the man in all black. She said she scared the man off and he ran toward Madison Street.

19 Tools, a laptop, ID and credit cards were reported stolen from a locked vehicle overnight Aug. 18 at 1916 Avalon Drive.
