1 Items were reportedly taken from two vehicles overnight in the 1100 block of Anoka Avenue. It was reported around 11:20 a.m. July 21.
2 Theft of items from unlocked vehicle was reported around 2:30 p.m. July 21 in the 800 block of Perkins Avenue.
3 A caller reportedly "backed his boat into a 'Caddy'" around 3:40 p.m. July 21 in the 1100 block of Wilshire Place.
4 A male in the 300 block of Maple Avenue who "smell(ed) of alcohol … (and was) possibly having a seizure" suffered a laceration to his forehead and elbow and was transported by ambulance to the hospital around 7 p.m. July 21.
5 A juvenile "driving without an authorized driver in the vehicle" reportedly knocked down a mailbox in the 2300 block of Fox River Parkway around 7:30 p.m. July 21. He was issued a citation and agreed to pay for new mailbox.
6 A "drunk older male with white hair" was reportedly giving cigarettes and beer to teenagers" around 8:40 p.m. July 21 near Frame and Grand avenues.
7 A caller reported that a cinder block was thrown through the windshield of the caller's 2005 Chevy TrailBlazer around 12:15 a.m. July 22 in the 800 block of Northview Road.
8 A suspect was taken into custody after a caller and her husband witnessed a male break into the caller's car around 1:30 a.m. July 22 in the 1200 block of West Sunset Drive.
9 A caller in the 2000 block of Kensington Drive reported around 4 a.m. July 22 that there were "people in the pool making a lot of noise." Police talked to "two nude males that were swimming in the pool … (who) were staying with a friend" in the apartment complex.
10 A caller in the 300 block of Hartwell Avenue reportedly "found a butcher knife in her back yard … during her daughter's birthday party" around 10:30 a.m. July 22.
11 A deposit lock box and a vehicle in the 2600 block of North University Drive were reportedly broken into around 1:30 p.m. July 22.
12 A caller in the 200 block of North Racine Avenue reported around 2:20 p.m. July 22 finding an ankle bracelet that read "County Jail" with a picture of an inmate on it.
13 A 35-year-old female was "having trouble breathing (and) dazed after a three-car accident involving three minivans near Highway 59 and East Racine Avenue around 4:30 p.m. July 22.
14 A caller reported seeing "a subject on the second floor" of a building that was supposed to be vacant around 6 p.m. July 22 in the 100 block of McCall Street. Police removed a sex offender who said he was living there about a week.
15 A caller in the 300 block of Jackson Court reported a neighbor in the building "keeps moving the caller's grill" and "threw the grill and broke it" around 7 p.m. July 22. The caller said she "tore up her (neighbor's) tomatoes in the ground" in retaliation.
16 Two people were reportedly lying in a hammock they had put up between two trees around 7:30 p.m. July 22 at the footbridge close to Riverwalk Drive in the 500 block of West Dunbar Avenue.
17 A caller reported that a brick was "just thrown through (the) windshield of … (a) silver Kia" around 12:10 a.m. July 23 in the 400 block of East Broadway.
18 A caller in the 200 block of North Charles Street reported around 9 a.m. July 23 that, during the night, someone gained access to the residence through the back door, which "might not have been closed all the way," and items were missing including a Play Station 3, DVDs and radio. A knife from the kitchen was used to cut the couch and was left on the couch. Items were also stolen from a car.
19 A customer who was upset because "he bought a(n) ATV batter and it went bad" became loud and profane around 10:45 a.m. July 23 at a business at 202 Travis Lane. He was given a replacement battery and told not to come back.
20 A city worker reported seeing marijuana plants in storm ditches in the 1700 block of South West Avenue around noon July 23.
21 A house in the 400 block of Prospect Avenue was reportedly burglarized between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. July 23 and items were missing, including a violin, iPod, jewelry and computers.
22 A woman near South Prairie and West College avenues reported around 6:45 p.m. July 23 that her boyfriend took her pit bull and was going to kill it by throwing it over a bridge. The couple had been arguing over money. The boyfriend returned the dog.
23 A caller reported that his dog ate some pills the caller had dropped around 8:30 p.m. July 23 in the 700 block of Arcadian Avenue.
24 A caller reported that a male was "outside, playing (a) harmonica loudly for the last four or five hours" around 10:30 p.m. July 23 in the 400 block of West Main Street.
25 A mother and her daughter were reportedly in the street, "kicking each other and pulling hair" around 8:45 a.m. July 24 in the 100 block of South Street.
26 Seven to nine people were reportedly "breaking car windows and acting very 'riotive'" around midnight July 24 near Lincoln and Lake.
27 A caller near Victoria Drive and Richard Street reported she "lost her black and white Coach purse, which was on top of the car when she took off" around 1:40 p.m. July 25.
28 A violin that was taken in an earlier burglary (see No. 21) was found in some bushes around 3 p.m. July 25 in the 300 block of Northwest Barstow Street. The item was to checked for prints.
29 A guitar sign in the 200 block of West Main Street blew over around 2 a.m. July 26 and was "dangling into traffic." Police "were able to get half the sign down."
30 A tree fell and hit a house and "poked through the roof" around 2:45 a.m. July 26 in the 200 block of West Newhall Avenue. There was "substantial damage to the house, however, the fire (officials) … didn't believe they needed to evacuate." WE Energies was called to take care of a large branch in the backyard that was on some power lines.
31 WE Energies were also called to the 2100 block of Garland Avenue after a report of a branch on some wires "that (was) starting the tree on fire below" around 5 a.m. July 26. There was also a garage with a 100-gallon propane cylinder below the downed branch.
32 A caller in the 600 block of East North Street was threatened by a neighbor with a pipe that he was going "to beat him up with it" after the caller notified the landlord that the neighbor was being noisy. The report was made around 2:30 p.m. July 26.
33 A report of "kids swimming in an access tunnel near the volleyball courts" on the south end of Frame Park in the 1200 block of White Rock Avenue was made around 7:30 p.m. July 26. The DPW was "notified and they will be evaluating the gate to see if it needs to be refortified."
34 A guest at a hotel at 2510 Plaza Court became irate and was yelling in the lobby around 10:30 p.m. July 26 after he was locked out of his room for not paying a phone bill, which is the motel's policy.
35 A vehicle in the 2200 block of Kensington Drive was reportedly broken into during the night and reported around 5:30 a.m. July 27.
36 A man was reportedly walking around car lots, "looking for Wi-Fi hot spots" in the 1500 block of East Moreland Boulevard around 11:30 p.m. July 27. He was "advised and moved along."
37 A caller in the 1500 block of Valley Drive reported around 11:40 p.m. July 27 that "someone urinated on the front door."
38 An intoxicated male was reportedly "trying to get into the caller's house" in the 700 block of North Glenn Drive around 4:20 a.m. July 28.
