1 A caller in the 1800 block of Cardinal Lane reported around 7:30 a.m. Aug. 25 a neighbor who was shooting off fireworks, revving a car engine and blowing an air horn toward the caller's window earlier that morning. The neighbor was cited by mail.
2 A substance believed to be heroin was found in a garage in the 100 block of Randall Street after a report of a 31-year-old male "possibly on drugs" who "keeps passing out" around 7 p.m. Aug. 25.
3 A "loud party and swearing" was reported at a residence in the 100 block of South James Street. Police found "noise and party was excessive upon arriving." No one claimed to live at the residence.
4 A caller reported her "husband and son-in-law … physically fighting in the road" around 11 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 1700 block of Cottonwood Drive.
5 A man was taken into custody after police received a call in which a male and female were heard yelling and the "female screaming to get out" around 11:45 p.m. Aug. 25 in the 2000 block of Santa Barbara Drive.
6 A caller in the 2800 block of North University Drive reported that occupants of an apartment "have loud sex with the windows open and can be heard at the next building" around 1:40 a.m. Aug. 26.
7 A caller reported a "subject lying on the grass on Sheryl Lane, near Grandview … with pajamas and (a) blanket" around 4 a.m. Aug. 26.
8 A full can of Pepsi was reportedly smashed against a car in the 2300 block of Fox River Parkway sometime during the night. The vandalism, which was the third such incident in three weeks, was reported around 12:20 p.m. Aug. 26.
9 A male driver who was stopped in traffic told police his 90-year-old mother in the car was pregnant, around 4:30 p.m. Aug. 26 near Parklawn Drive and Bluemound Road. The man told police "he would take his mother home after realizing that she is not pregnant."
10 A man was struck with "brass knuckles" during a fight around midnight Aug. 26 in the 100 block of Carroll Street.
11 A caller near Pine Street and Bel-Ayr Drive reported that "little kids (were) chasing wild turkeys" around 2:20 p.m. Aug. 27. The caller was "worried (that the) turkeys (would) turn on the kids."
12 A vehicle with a "smashed out window" was reported around 2:40 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 2400 block of Grandview Boulevard.
13 A caller in the 700 block of North Grand Avenue reported that a "male keeps coming to (the) door and says strange things" around 3:20 p.m. Aug. 27.
14 A caller in the 1200 block of Downing Drive reported around 3:40 p.m. Aug. 27 receiving a "letter from a UK lotto" and a check for nearly $4,000. "The caller was instructed to destroy the check as it was likely a fraud."
15 A railroad employee reported "two juveniles climbing the engine and two rail cars" around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 100 block of East Broadway.
16 A caller reported her boyfriend "was just jumped by three males at the school as they were walking by" around 9 p.m. Aug. 27 in the 1200 block of Heyer Drive. One of the suspects "pulled a gun … (and) demand(ed) his bag." The report indicated the incident "sounds like a deal gone wrong."
17 A caller reported several intoxicated people in the 200 block of Westminster Drive "making too much noise" around 3:20 a.m. Aug. 28. Police found the "noise was excessive (and the subjects) … packed up and went in for the night."
18 Someone stole a "push" lawn mower from a front lawn in the 700 block of North East Avenue around 10:20 a.m. Aug. 28.
19 Two people were injured during a rollover accident involving two vehicles around noon Aug. 28 near West Laflin and Garfield avenues.
20 A man was reportedly being beat up "bad" during a fight involving three subjects around 12:30 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 300 block of West Newhall Avenue.
21 An intoxicated male on a bicycle reportedly hit a silver Volvo SUV, causing significant damage, and drove off around 2:20 p.m. Aug. 28 in the 400 block of West Main Street.
22 A vehicle in the 1200 block of Thrush Lane was reportedly entered during the night and items taken. It was reported around 4:30 p.m. Aug. 28.
23 A caller in the 1600 block of Swartz Drive reported around 7 p.m. Aug. 28 that her landlord called her while she was in Hawaii saying she will be evicted because her boyfriend is staying in the caller's apartment while she was away caring for a bird. The landlord insisted on receiving the extra money for her boyfriend staying there by the next day, even though the caller was out of town.
24 Four to five men were reportedly "sliding boxes across the awning instead of taking them out the front door" to a flatbed trailer around 3:15 a.m. Aug. 29 in the 1900 block of Bonnie Lane. Police found the "noise was excessive for the time of night."
25 A driver reported "injuries from a seat belt after a car hit a tree and ended up in a ditch south of Kam Terrace on Merrill Hills near Madison Street around 4:30 p.m. Aug. 29.
26 Three boys, about 10 to 13 years old, were reportedly "wandering in people's yards … looking at bicycles" as if they might steal one around 7:15 p.m. Aug. 29 near North Washington Avenue and John Street.
27 Police reportedly deployed a taser after chasing suspects who were believed to have stolen items from a residence in the 100 block of West Broadway around 10 p.m. Aug. 29.
28 A garbage truck hit a Time Warner Cable line, knocking it into the street, around 9 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 2100 block of Oaklawn Avenue.
29 Juveniles were reportedly "on the top level of the parking ramp, throwing objects off into the street" around 11 a.m. Aug. 30 in the 200 block of South Street.
30 A caller in the 1800 block of Easy Street reported around 11:15 a.m. Aug. 30 the "theft of (a) patio table and chairs, also a grill and a propane tank."
31 A caller in the 900 block of Wesley Drive reported around 1:30 p.m. Aug. 30 that his "dad's girlfriend is trying to take (the) cat and is banging on the door."
32 A caller reported seeing a teenage girl near the dam by Corrina Boulevard and North Barstow Street with what looked like "no pants" around 2 p.m. Aug. 30. Police talked to two juveniles who admitted to "petting" and observed the "female (had) shorts on--albeit very minimal coverage."
33 A man in his 60s was reportedly lying on the ground "in the grassy area across from the parking lot" around 8:45 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 400 block of Arcadian Avenue. The caller reportedly "approached him, and he moved his head and groaned."
34 A caller reported her father-in-law threatened "to cut her brother's eyes out and … possibly damage a car in the driveway" around 11 p.m. Aug. 30 in the 200 block of Maria Street.
