Waukesha West High School graduate Tim Patzman was recently honored for his efforts on the diamond this spring.
Patzman, a junior outfielder for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team, was placed on the Horizon League's first team list. Patzman, currently hitting .382, has appeared in 50 games for the Panthers (26-25 overall). He's started 49 games, clubbing 11 home runs while knocking in 41 for the Panthers. He spent four years during his prep days in the storied Wolverines' program under the direction of head coach Chad Montez.
He has 17 doubles and a 685. slugging percentage.
The Panthers finished second in the Horizon League this spring under Scott Doffek's tutelage. Doffek, a Hartland Arrowhead graduate, was named the Horizon League Coach of the Year.
The Panthers will be in Lorain, Ohio to play in the Horizon League Tournament. The winner of the double elimination field gains an automatic berth to the NCAA Division 1 Tournament.
