Waukesha North High School graduate Chris Nowak was released by the Double-A Montgomery Biscuits last week but has resigned with a Major League baseball organization, joining the hometown Milwaukee Brewers.
The 27-year old third/first baseman was batting .248 with seven home runs and 33 RBIs for the Biscuits before asking for his release. Nowak, a 19th round draft pick, has spent seven seasons in the Tampa Bay Rays organization.
He joined Double-A Huntsville this week, remaining in the Southern League, and collected six hits in his first 19 at-bats (.316).
