Limoncello gives this cocktail a tart profile. Its color will range from pale yellow to rosy pink, depending on how you make your rose syrup. The recipe is adapted from "Cocktails by Flavor" (2013).

The Bella Donna is lemony and refreshing.

Makes 1 drink

  • 1 2/3 ounces light rum
  • 2/3 ounce limoncello
  • 2/3 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • ½ ounce rose syrup (see recipe)
  • Champagne or sparkling wine
  • Lemon spiral for garnish

Combine rum, limoncello, lemon juice and rose syrup in a shaker with ice and shake. Strain into chilled cocktail glass. Top with Champagne and add garnish.
