'Pitch Perfect 3' coming July 2017

Look out Pitches, they are coming back again.

Universal Pictures announced the release date for Pitch Perfect 3: July 21, 2017.

The new feature will star Barden Bella regulars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson, according to a release sent out by Universal on Monday.

Kendrick posted a simple "Happening #3" on Twitter with a picture winking at the camera Monday.

Wilson has talked about the possibility of a third film. She told Glamour magazine in May: "It's so good that everyone in the first movie is back in the second one, and we love working together, so who knows if there's future story lines. But I would really wanna see the Bellas intact and see what they go on to do. We do have a joke that we're going to go into the Intergalactic championships against aliens, the galaxy champions."

Pitch Perfect 2 opened May 15 with a $69 million opening weekend, No. 1 in the country. The Universal release called it the highest-grossing movie-musical opening of all time.

The new film will be produced by series fixtures Paul Brooks of Gold Circle Entertainment along with Max Handelman and Elizabeth Banks of Brownstone Productions.
