The city has ordered that the fire-damaged Fracaro's Lanes be razed within 30 days, chief building inspector Mike Mazmanian said in an interview Thursday, June 15.
A raze order is being served on owners Mike and Jason Hansen.
The business, 1430 White Rock Ave, was heavily damaged in a fire that happened on the evening of Jan. 1. Fire officials said the blaze was accidental in nature, possibly caused by an electrical malfunction.
In correspondence to the city shortly after the fire, the Hansens expressed a desire to rebuild the business. At the time, fire damage was estimated at $250,000.
Since then, little activity has happened within the building that is surrounded by a chain-link fence.
Neither of the Hansens could be reached for immediate comments.
