1 An anonymous caller reported a gun was stolen gun out of their car around 7:16 p.m. July 29 in the 2700 block of Northview Road. According to an incident report, the gun is a black Smith & Wesson Bodyguard handgun. The report did not indicate whether police had any leads or suspects.
2 Police received three separate reports about cars being egged around 10:30 p.m. July 29 in or around the 2900 block of Minot Lane. It was unclear whether the vehicles sustained any permanent damage as a result of the egging.
3 Police found a 20-year-old man lying in the middle of the road and only partially conscious around 12:52 a.m. July 30 near Hinman and West Newhall avenues. According to a police report, the man was breathing, but "not alert" and only "semi-awake." The report did not specify how the man got there.
4 A man reportedly threatened to shoot employees at the Wisconsin Veterinary Referral Center, 360 Bluemound Road, around 1:39 p.m. July 31 because he was upset with the service he received. A police report said the clinic did not make a formal complaint against the man but barred him and his wife from the property.
5 Police arrested a man who reportedly hit his wife inside an apartment in the 300 block of West Newhall Avenue around 2:03 a.m. Aug. 1. According to a police report, the man broke his wife's phone during the fight so she wouldn't be able to call police. The report does not indicate whether the man was cited or criminally charged.
6 A woman reported her cousin, who's homeless and staying at the local Salvation Army, had been making "disturbing" Facebook posts around 1:13 p.m. Aug. 1 on a computer at the Waukesha Public Library, 321 W. Wisconsin Ave. According to a police report, the posts were about "raping women" and "shooting people at Brookfield Square Mall," but the woman said she was unsure whether her cousin would act on any of the posts. She just wanted police to be aware of them, the report said.
7 Someone drove their car into a "no parking" sign and knocked it over around 2:42 p.m. Aug. 1 near North Hine and Michigan avenues. An incident report did not indicate whether the driver was cited for or injured in the crash.
8 A man drove his car through a construction zone and fresh concrete around 4:09 p.m. Aug. 1 near Manhattan Drive and East Moreland Boulevard. According to a police report, the area was blocked off with construction barrels and security netting but the man drove through it anyway. He was advised to pay more attention when driving to avoid a similar situation in the future, the report said.
9 Police went searching for a former Marine who made suicidal statements to his wife then walked out of their apartment with a knife around 5:21 p.m. Aug. 1 in the 1700 block of Elder Street. An incident report said officers searched for the man for more than an hour but did not indicate whether they found him. The man reportedly told his wife he would not return home if police were there.
10 Police tracked down a 19-year-old man who was under the influence of synthetic marijuana, also called K2, and behaving erratically as a result around 7:47 p.m. Aug. 2 in the 800 block of Delafield Street. A police report said officers caught the man and detained him behind the Willow Park apartment complex, 1017 Delafield St.
11 A woman reported she was hit by a car around 4:39 p.m. Aug. 3 near Madison Street and South Washington Avenue. According to an incident report, the woman told police the driver of the car ran a stop sign at the intersection.
12 An anonymous caller reported seeing an older man urinate in a resident's yard in the 900 block of Pleasant Street around 6:12 p.m. Aug. 3. A police report said the man was very drunk and left before officers arrived.
13 Emergency personnel responded to a car fire around 8:47 p.m. Aug. 4 in one of the parking areas at Woodman's, 1600 E. Main St. According to an incident report, the car was "fully engulfed" in flames and was extinguished about a 10 minutes after it was reported.
14 A local Walgreens employee turned over a bag of syringes and beer, reportedly found in the store's parking lot, 230 Madison St., to police around 9:07 p.m. Aug. 4. According to a police report, an anonymous customer found the bag and brought it into the store to show employees.
15 A shed was broken into in the 1200 block of Ellis Street and a chainsaw was stolen early in the morning Aug. 7. A police report said the chainsaw was the only item missing from the shed and the owner did not request a formal complaint. The report did not mention any leads or suspects.
16 Employees found a man sleeping near a trash bin behind at a local gas station, 101 E. Broadway St., around 12:42 p.m. Aug. 7. A police report did not specify a reason for the man being there.
17 Police had to tell a resident to take a flying drone elsewhere after the resident crash-landed it in Horeb Spring Park, 330 Spring St., which is across from the resident's home, around 3:40 p.m. Aug. 7 . No one was injured in the crash, a police report said.
18 Police found an intoxicated man sleeping shirtless next to his bike around 3:41 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 200 block of Madison Street. No additional information about the incident was immediately available.
19 An anonymous caller reported finding a woman passed out, partially on a resident's lawn, around 7:23 p.m. Aug. 7 near North Hine and Summit avenues. According to a police report, the woman regained consciousness but seemed "out of it" when speaking to the caller. She claimed she had no idea where she was and was waiting for her boyfriend, the report said.
20 A resident reported seeing an 80-year-old man walking around the neighborhood in the 1900 block of Laura Lane wearing nothing but a Speedo or underwear and picking up sticks. A police report did not indicate whether officers found or spoke to the man.
