Waukesha State Bank's historic downtown location was robbed by a woman Tuesday, Dec. 13.

At about 5 p.m., police officers responded to the robbery at 151 E. St. Paul Ave., where bank officials reported that the unidentified woman entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money.  No weapons were implied or displayed, according to a press release issued late Tuesday by the Waukesha Police Department.

The woman obtained an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing from the bank in an unknown direction. Her face was caught on surveillance cameras.

She is described as white, about 5 feet 3 inches tall with a thin build, and was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a white winter hat with a brim and tan calf-high boots. According to witnesses, she spoke with an accent, though more specific information was not available.

There were no injuries as a result of the robbery.

Waukesha police say anyone with information should contact Det. Andy Jicha at 262-524-3929.
