Criminal charges are pending against a 65-year-old Waukesha man police say struck his wife in the head with a wrench on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
According to a news release from the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department, police rushed to the man's home around 11:25 a.m. Wednesday after the man told a dispatcher what happened.
The 68-year-old woman suffered unspecified injuries and was rushed to Froedtert Hospital, the release said. Her condition is unknown.
Police arrested the man and he remains in custody pending criminal charges, which court records show had not been issued by Wednesday night.
The incident remains under investigation. No additional information was immediately available.
