City of Waukesha officials are currently developing a master plan for Meadowview Park, located at the intersection of Northview and Meadowbrook roads, said Mona Bauer, the customer and administrative services manager for the city's parks department.

City officials are drafting the plan based on what residents, during two public input sessions, said they would like to see in the park and what the city needs in terms of recreational infrastructure, Bauer said.

"The plan is not set in stone yet," Bauer said.

A community center, an aquatic center, pickleball and tennis courts and various kinds of ball fields are all on the list of possible amenities at the park. A mile-long fitness trail for walking and running could also be a possibility for the park, Bauer said.

Playgrounds, a splash pad, parking lots and restroom facilities round out the list of items that possibility could make up the park, as well, she said.

"There is not a timeline," Bauer said. "We actually got bogged down with lots of other projects and had to put some things on the shelf. It will be picked up and it is on our radar screen to complete this year."
