Waukesha police were asked to intervene after two men, described in reports as homeless and intoxicated, entered Butler Middle School, 310 N. Hine Ave., during a school function Friday night, April 8.

A school custodian said the two men entered through the unlocked doors shortly after 9 p.m., according to a Waukesha police report.

When police arrived at about 9:25 p.m., one of the men had already left, but the other reportedly refused to leave when staff asked him to. The man told police he did not know how he would get home. He eventually left.

Police reported seeing two hooded individuals roaming outside the school four hours later, but there was no reported connection from the earlier incident.
