Several local veterans were among the 140 who went on the Stars and Stripes Honor Flight's 33rd mission on Saturday, May 14.

The flight took World War II and Korean War veterans from southeastern Wisconsin on a one-day free trip to Washington, D.C., to see their memorials.

Local veterans on the trip were:

Donald Clarkof Waukesha, Korean War, U.S. Marines, has a Purple Heart and was an infantry squad leader, 1949-1952

Joe Jackson of Waukesha, Korean War, U.S. Army, finance clerk, 1951-53

Norm Maronn of Waukesha, Korean War, U.S. Army, cook in mortar platoon, 1954-56.
