City residents should again be ready for a good time for a good cause at this year's Waukesha Night Out.

The annual community-wide event, which is free and open to the public, is set for 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3 at Frame Park in the rotary building at 1150 Baxter St.

The city's night out is aimed at generating support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, heightening crime and drug prevention awareness, promoting safety knowledge and strengthening "neighborhood spirit" and police-community partnerships, according to the city's website.

The festivities will include free food, child carnival games, an inflatable jump house and slide and live music.
