Waukesha State Bank’s employee volunteer group, Helping Hearts, recently donated backpacks filled with school supplies to Whittier Elementary School in Waukesha.
“Through the generosity of Waukesha State Bank employees, 57 fully supplied backpacks were donated to in-need 4-year-old kindergarten, fourth and fifth grade students. In addition, extra school supplies and backpacks were donated to the Whittier School supply closet for teachers to use as needed throughout the school year,” Helping Hearts board member and Payroll Complete president Paula Brierton said.
Helping Hearts began nearly thirty years ago as a way for bank employees to serve the residents and nonprofit organizations in Waukesha County. The group organizes a variety of volunteer projects and community service opportunities throughout the year, such as dress casual days, collection drives, volunteer events and more.
