Immucor, Inc. plans to expand its operation in the Town of Brookfield, 20925 Crossroads Circle.
The company will invest $1.58 million in facility upgrades and new equipment, and expects to add up to 64 new employees.
Most of the new hires will be skilled technical specialists, such as research and development scientists and chemists.
Headquartered in suburban Atlanta, Immucor provides transfusion and transplantation diagnostics that facilitate patient/donor compatibility. Immucor has $390 million in sales and more than 1,000 employees worldwide. With this expansion, Immucor’s Brookfield location will be the manufacturing and research and development headquarters for Immucor’s transplantation diagnostics business.
Under the terms of the agreement with Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, Immucor will be eligible for up to $480,000 in Business Development Tax Credits over the next three years. As is the case with all WEDC awards, the actual amount of credits received will be contingent upon full-time job creation and capital investment during that time.
