More than 1400 participants turned out to support the Walk To End Alzheimer’s Saturday, Sept. 10 at Frame Park in Waukesha.
The walk has exceeded $195,700 in raised funds, and may hit or exceed $200,000 as donors continue to mail, drop-off or give online in the coming weeks. Over the last seven years, the Waukesha County Walk has raised over $962,552 to provide care and support for local individuals living with Alzheimer’s and their families and advance research.
Donations can be made to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s and should be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, Southeastern Wisconsin chapter at 620 S. 76th St., Suite 160, Milwaukee. Designate contributions to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, Waukesha County Walk. Donations can also be made online through Nov. 30 at www.alz.org/sewi.
The money raised in Waukesha County funds research and services including support groups, information and referral services, care consultations and a 24/7 helpline, 800-272-3900.
