Open auditions for the Waukesha Civic Theatre’s production of "33 Variations" will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13.

Callbacks, if needed, will be held Dec. 14. No appointment is necessary. Auditions will be held at the Waukesha Civic Theatre building, 264 W. Main St. Waukesha.

Those auditioning should be prepared to read from the script. Those arriving at 8:30 or later should contact the theater beforehand.

"33 Variations" is about a modern music scholar, facing the end of her life, who studies the mysteries of Beethoven and the 33 variations of a simple melody he composed while facing the end of his. All roles are open; four roles for men ages 20 to 60 and three roles for women ages 20 to 60. There is one role for a pianist.
