Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County will hold its second annual Gingerbread Event Nov. 29 to Dec. 3, at the Habitat ReStore, 2120 E. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha.
Groups and individuals are invited to build and decorate a gingerbread house for the annual competition. Entry costs are $25 for students and amateurs, $75 for corporate and professional submissions.
All proceeds raised support Habitat of Waukesha’s work to provide affordable housing to families in need. All donations and entry fees are tax-deductible. Prizes will be awarded in two categories.
Deadline to register for the competition is Nov. 21. Deliver completed houses to the Waukesha ReStore from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 28. Voting, silent auction and cookie decorating are open to the public and will take place in the ReStore Nov. 29 to Dec. 3, during store hours.
