1 A caller in the 200 block of Carroll Street received a strange package reportedly containing a "powdery substance" and an opened pack of chewing gum from a mysterious sender in Florida around 3:12 p.m. Dec. 2. A police report said officers took and inventoried the package.

2 A woman living in the 300 block of East North Street told police her abusive ex-boyfriend has been following her around while she makes deliveries for work recently and requested police intervention around 8:23 p.m. Dec. 2. According to a police report, the woman said she would try to get a temporary restraining order. Officers tried to call the suspect but were unsuccessful, the report said.

3 An anonymous caller reported a possible drunk driver swerving a car "all over"' the road around 12:45 a.m. Dec. 3 near North Grand and Wisconsin avenues. A police report did not specify whether officers tracked down the car or cited the driver.

4 A caller reported seeing an unidentified man urinating with his pants partially pulled down near a van around 4:22 p.m. Dec. 3 in the 2300 block of North Grandview Boulevard.

5 Police arrested a man after he reportedly choked a woman around 7:59 p.m. Dec. 3 in the 1400 block of Fleetfoot Drive. The man fled before police arrived, an incident report said, but officers picked him up at a nearby gas station.

6 An intoxicated man reportedly refused to leave the bathroom at Woodman's, 1600 E. Main St., when staff asked him to after he was heard yelling at himself around 1:58 a.m. Dec. 4. Police arrived and removed the man, an incident report said.

7 A resident in the 700 block of Lincoln Avenue was cited for lighting off several firecrackers that neighbors mistook to be a barrage of gunshots around 3:03 p.m. Dec. 4. Police found an empty case of fireworks when they arrived, and were told by a witness who set them off, a police report said.

8 Police arrested a man who a witness said punched a woman then threw her out of his car around 3:25 p.m. Dec. 4 in the 200 block of North Charles Street. An incident report did not specify whether the man was cited or criminally charged.

9 A car struck a pole but its driver was uninjured in the crash around 7:49 p.m. Dec. 4 in the 1100 block of Pewaukee Road. According to an accident report, the car had to be towed, and the crash took about an hour to clear.

10 Police are investigating a burglary in which someone broke into the local Boucher Buick GMC dealership, 1907 E. Moreland Blvd., and stole tires and hub caps or "rims" from three vehicles around 7 a.m. Dec. 5. According to a police report, a car might have also been stolen. The burglar entered through a service window, the report said.

11 A light pole in the 1300 block of White Rock Avenue was apparently pierced by a bullet that didn't appear to have caused any surrounding damage around 1:22 p.m. Dec. 5. No further investigation was conducted, according to a police report.

12 Someone ransacked a business at 127 W. Sunset Drive, damaging security cameras and tables, prior to e incident around 12:38 a.m. Dec. 6. No suspects or leads were mentioned in a police report.

13 A woman reportedly ran a stop sign in her car because she was eating while driving around 10:25 a.m. Dec. 6 near East Broadway and Pleasant streets. A police report did not specify whether officers tracked down the driver.

14 A man reportedly pulled a knife on his pregnant girlfriend during an argument inside the woman's apartment in the 400 block of East Moreland Boulevard around 8:54 p.m. Dec. 6. The woman fled the home after she was threatened with the knife, a police report said, and was uninjured. The report didn't specify whether the man was cited or criminally charged.

15 A woman, possibly suffering from a medical emergency, reportedly crashed her car into a light pole and a fire hydrant then drove it through some trees and across a resident's lawn, where she eventually stopped around 10:01 a.m. Dec. 7 near Pewaukee Road and Pilot Court. According to a police report, officers shut down southbound traffic at the intersection for some time following the accident. No injuries were mentioned in the report.

16 A driver crashed a truck into a strip mall at 1411 Summit Ave. when the truck's brakes apparently gave out around 12:58 p.m. Dec. 7. No injuries were reported, but the truck had to be towed, according to an incident report. It's not clear whether the building was damaged in the crash.

17 Police arrested a man for disorderly conduct after he reportedly kicked a side-view mirror off a car while passing it on his motorcycle around 4:18 p.m. Dec. 8 in the 1600 block of Manhattan Drive. A police report did not specify whether the man was cited or criminally charged.

18 A man was injured while apparently fighting with a woman in the middle of the street around 5:55 p.m. Dec. 8 near South East Avenue and Highway 164. According to a police report, the man suffered injuries to his head and shoulder and was taken to the hospital. The report did not specify what sparked the fight.

19 Two people were injured in a two-car accident around 10:04 a.m. Dec. 9 near Springdale and Bluemound roads. According to a police report, one of the drivers was initially unresponsive but began speaking to police on scene; the other suffered a head injury and was bleeding. Police were on scene for more than three hours, the report said.

20 An anonymous caller told police a man was trying to sew his mouth shut with a needle and thread and doing other "self-harming" things around 2:23 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Waukesha Salvation Army, 445 Madison St. Police did not find any evidence to support the claim when they arrived, a police report said. But the man reportedly told officers he had tried to give himself a piercing to gain "swag."
