The Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County (WGF) named Michelle DuBord of Pewaukee as executive director, effective Dec. 12.

DuBord has spent several years in nonprofit management, holding several posts at the former United Way in Waukesha County. She was also executive director of the former Safe & Sound of Waukesha. Most recently, she was a major gifts director at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

A graduate of Cardinal Stritch University, DuBord earned a certificate in nonprofit management at Carroll University. She has volunteered with ProHealth Care, Interfaith Senior Programs, Waukesha Hispanic Collaborative, Waukesha Rotary Club and Waukesha Youth Collaborative, among others.

The WGF, established in 2004, seeks to aid and enrich the lives of women and girls in the community through financial grants which provide opportunities otherwise unavailable to them.
