The Waukesha County Red Kettle campaign was roughly $350,000 behind its donation goal of $700,000 last week, according to Salvation Army officials.

Thirty-five percent of the yearly income for the the Salvation Army is raised in November and December. Adverse weather, delays in the mailing campaign and the Waukesha chapter's first attempt to stage a Christmas concert series have presented financial challenges to meeting the chapter's Red Kettle campaign goal.

If the Waukesha Salvation Army does not meet its Red Kettle campaign goal, programs and services might be cut, according to a news release from the organization.

Donations can be made: by mail, by sending a check to The Waukesha Salvation Army, 445 Madison St., Waukesha, WI 53188, or by sending a monetary gift using a mail appeal envelope; donating to any Red Kettle in Waukesha County (50 locations); or donating online at www. usc.salvationarmy.org/Waukesha.
