City of Waukesha Public Works crews will pick up holiday trees set out at the curb in the month of January as time permits — plowing and other projects may take priority.

Pickup began Jan. 2. There is no set route schedule, and pickup schedules depend on time and other circumstances. Trees will only be picked up in the month of January.

Residents may only set out real holiday trees; no wreaths, artificial trees should be set out. Trees must be free of lighting, decorations, tree stands or any other object. Trees should not be in bags, twine or netting.

Residents may also bring their trees to the drop-off center (750 Sentry Drive) during open public hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, for no charge during the month of January.
