The trials for teenage defendants Anissa Weier and Morgan Geyser, who are charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide for nearly stabbing to death then 12-year-old Payton Leutner in a wooded area in Waukesha, are scheduled for September and October, respectively.

Both trials will take place before a Waukesha County jury, and confessions both made to police after being taken into custody hours after the stabbing attack will be allowed into evidence.

Judge Michael Bohren recently denied the requests made by both girls' attorneys on a change of venue and to suppress the statements Geyser and Weier made to Waukesha police on that May 2014 day.
