Waukesha State Bank’s employee volunteer group, Helping Hearts, recently decorated and donated 35 teddy bears to the Waukesha Fire Department as part of their “Dress-a-Bear” initiative.

“Each year, our ‘Dress-a-Bear’ competition is a favorite among Waukesha State Bank employees,” said Jessa Torres, Helping Hearts chairperson and Waukesha State Bank training specialist. “It’s heartwarming to know our bears will comfort local children when the Waukesha Fire Department is dispatched to an emergency.”

Helping Hearts began nearly 30 years ago as a way for bank employees to serve the residents and nonprofit organizations in Waukesha County.
