Starting April 3, Waukesha County residents can take advantage of free recycling facility tours and online opportunities to learn about recycling, with events leading up to Earth Day Saturday, April 22.

Two opportunities are available to tour the City of Milwaukee/Waukesha County Materials Recovery Facility for free. The tours are noon Tuesday, April 4, and 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 20. Registration and closed-toe shoes are required for the hour-long, hard hat tour of the facility. Register for the free tour at www.kgmb.org.

Starting April 3, the Waukesha County Recycles Facebook page and @WaukCoRecycles Twitter page will take part in Wisconsin’s statewide campaign, “Earth Day 2017,” by featuring recycling facts each day leading up to April 22 and using the hashtag #EarthDay2017.
